you might try tweeking your firewall.

under NIS
select firewall options
program control
assuming realtime.dll is for the player, add the program and set to allow.

Don't hold your breath expecting any answers from symantec, i dont think i
have seen them respond to board questions in at least 4 years.

When it comes time for you to upgrade (if you do) try going for some of
the freeware for a firewall, and antivirus.
