Share not accessible after unplugging and replugging USB External HD

Hi Group,

I have an external USB hard drive plugged into a Windows XP Pro
machine. The drive is recognised as the letter Z and there is a share
on the drive z$.

Fist time everything is great I can see the share \\Computername\z$
from another computer. When I unplug the drive and replug it, the
other computer cannot see the files on the share. I only get an empty
list with \\ Computername\z$

Can someone help me on this one?
