administrator

about a week ago i downloaded a xp update from ms. now i get the
administrator screen all the time. i am the only one on the computer and its
a pain. also, at nite i run norton one button check up or virus scan. neither
will run because after 10 minutes the computer goes to sleep. i have to click
on the adm icon to start it up again. how can i get rid of the adm completely.
i dont want it at all. thanks
