| I have a user on my network who wishes to share a folder on his personal
| office machine with another office worker.
|
| I have been told that I would have to first create an account on his machine
| for the remote user, create a shared folder and then allow the new user
| access to the folder.
|
| Is there a way of creating a network shared folder that allows remote user
| authenticated access, without having to create a new user on the local
| machine?
|
| Both machines are running Windows XP Professional.
|
| Thanks in advance,
|
| Sandy Spence
If this is an office environment this should NOT be done.
The file(s) should be shared on the server and access controlled by the Domain Account Share
Permissions and NTFS Permissions.
