wmiprvse.exe

wmiprvse.exe found running in taskmgr prompted me to do an online security
scan at symantec.com.
scan results came back (no known virus protection found).am currently
running avg7 free.how can symantec not notice this.also is wmiprvse.exe virus
related if not what is it.
