Re: Not able to logon

I recently left my desktop computer running overnight after a long scan.
After I shut it down and back on the next day I was no longer able to logon.
The system boots up, but then stops at the XP welcome screen. Here it asks me to "click" on the user account I want to use (which never happended before); however, no accounts are shown on the screen to use. The only option is the link to shutdown the computer.
Additionally, I am able to get to a signon screen if I do Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice; however, no matter what id and password I enter always fails.

I have looked at some support documents, but have not found a solution as of yet.
Any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Scott.
