RE: Windows Defender

Remember that Windows Defender is still in its Beta stage so there
will be small things lurking there. Some people have the problem with
the MSascui.exe using up 99% of the CPU which then crashes the
computer. Just go to the download site of WD and check which version
of the beta is being released.

no other way round it from what i can see.

i use it and i have had no problems (touch wood)

I've had Windows Defender install on my system for a while. I do have
the latest version. Everytime I shutdown or restart the system I get
a application crash to MSascui.exe. I've tried removing it and
reinstalling it. I've check the memmory that's ok. Does any one have
any ideas? I don't know where to go from here.

Thanks,

Actually, Windows Defender is out of beta now. However, for
questions/comments about WD, the OP should post in one of the
newsgroups specifically set up for the program (not here):

To access these newsgroups using NNTP, please use the following

- Password: spyware

NOTE: No password will be required via the HTTP link.
