Sorry, the symptoms you are describing can be attributed to lots of
different malware. I suggest you do the normal scanning here:

And then do the Smitfraud removal steps:

See how that goes. Removing malware can be time-consuming and
complicated but if you are "quite good at using computers" then just
follow the instructions and take one step at a time. You can do this
or, if you decide you don't want to bother then take it to a
professional (not the BigStoreUSA type of place). The important thing
is that you have already backed up your data, yes?
