I can think of a couple of them. RegMon is a tool by Mark Russinovich
formerly of Sysinternals (now with Microsoft), RegMon is a stand alone
program that creates a dynamic view of everything that is going on in the
registry. It has many options that allow the user to customize his/her
viewing experience. A second program is RegShot. RegShot takes a snapshot
of the registry at any time you choose and you can compare that snapshot to
a later or earlier one to see what changed in the registry between the two
snapshots. Very useful if you want to manually trace registry changes made
by an application you might be installing. I can't remember off hand who
the author of Regshot is but I'm sure a Google search will turn it up for
you. Unless something has changed recently both programs are freeware.
