Re: SFS Problem

It should be disabled already if your computers are in an Active Directory
domain. Anyhow you can use Group Policy to manage the security option for
network access: sharing and security model for local accounts to be
"classic". The setting is found in computer configuration\Windows
settings\security settings\local policies\security options and also is shown
in Local Security Policy.

When I go into Windows explorer and disable Simple File Sharing, when I
restart it is enabled again.

I am trying to push out some AV updates and cannot because SFS is enabled
on
all workstations on our LAN.

1, Is there a setting in group policy to allow me to globaly turn off SFS?

2, When it keeps enabling itself, why is this happening? I AM running
group
policy on all workstations so wondering if a setting is coming from there?

Thanks
