manualy install of security updates - system restart

If installing the security updates using windows update
service, all issued updates are being downloaded and installed
on the fly. Single system restart is required finalizing windows
update process.

But I have been installing the security updates by manual download and
manual starting the patch files for years, cause many users
are complaining about windows update quality and reliability.

Can I this way install all updates on the fly and do a single
system restart finalizing security update process ?
