Re: Registry entries protected... help

I have some entries in my registry that no account seems to be able to
read. When I try to access them using regedit it says that I cant
access the entry
but I can change the permissions. No user is listed as having access.
When I try to add modify the entry such that the "Everyone" user has
full access
it tells me that I can not change the permissions. I wish it would
make up its mind. :)

Also tried to do a system restore back before this problem occured but
the reg. still had the offending entries (they should have been gone)
and they still were unaccessable.

I may have made matters worse by removing the password from the
account which may have added these entries to the registry... but that
was the only way I could log into the account to see if that account
could access the entires.

You will need to tell us what the registry entries are and exactly what
"no account seems to be able to read" means. Quote error messages in
full and tell us also what you are trying to do with these registry
entries.
