Sharing of system files to sync two computers

I have two computers, a desktop (XP pro) and a laptop (XP Home). Using MS
Synctoy I sync certain files every night between the two, except the MS
Outlook .pst files. Because my Outlook data files are in the
Windows\application data directory and thus are not sharable by system
default, I have to use a two-step process of copying the Pro .pst to my
Home desktop and then copying the .pst to the Home Outlook data file
location.
Is there a better (that is, one-step) way to do this? Ideally, I believe,
I should be able to sync (in this case overwrite Home) the two .pst files
directly but since system files are not sharable, how does one make them so?
Appreciate any help anyone can provide.
