Re: Windows Server 2003 / XP File System

It varies depending on whether you are moving them to a different volume or
the same one.

How permissions are handled when you copy and move files and folders

Noticed an odd behaviour with effective permissions when directories were
moved from one location to another on a Windows Server 2003 file system.
In
particular, full administrative rights, although not lost, showed as
non-existent when tested using the effective permissions tab under
Security /
Advanced in Windows Explorer. Is this a known issue?
