Re: User Desktop ?

Weird. Does it happen to a local user that is not a local administrator? If
it does not that would indicate a user configuration Group Policy setting
and you can run rsop.msc on the domain computer to see what Group Policy
settings are being applied to the computer/user. Does it work if the domain
user is added to the local administrators group on the domain computer?

We have a 2003 domain and XP clients (SR2). We are attempting to use
policies
to secure the desktops. We have a group of desktops that (though we have
shortcuts in the all user desktop folder) do not get their icons when they
login. However, if we login as the local desktop admin the shortcuts are
there. Could we have a selection in the profiles that are stopping the
icons'
at login? If so, where should we be looking? When logged into the domain
as
the user we can navigate to the all user desktop and execute the
shortcuts...they just don't appear.

Any help is appreciated! -T
