Lightning through the DSL line fried my router and 2 PCs
running XP Home. I bought a new computer with XP Media
Center and successfully connected the C drive from the old
computer. The old C drive has 3 limited user accounts and
mine, the administrator with a password login. I was able
to access and transfer files of the 3 limited account users
but I'm unable to access any files in my administrator
account.
I setup the new computer the same way as the old one, even
using the same password. Any suggestions how to access my
XP Home password protected (not encrypted) administrator

You need to disable Simple File Sharing and take ownership of
