Does this happen on all computers with all USB flash drives?? If it happens
only to a specific computer check the logs via Event Viewer to see if
anything is recorded that may indicate the problem and you could also
disable automatically restart on system failure in System
properties/advanced/startup and recovery settings. Try different brand of
flash drive. If the flash drive does not use signed drivers then it can not
use server side installation and the user will need to be an administrator
to use it. The article below explains more. It discusses this problem with
USB printer but it is the same for USB flash drive. --- Steve

Everytime someone tries to use a flash drive at my college it reboots the
system(Gateway Eseries), and the usb ports only works while logged in
under
the main administratior which requires a password. My supervisior tells me
to
wipe the system and reinstall it again, but i know thats not right.
