Folders and Permissions

I am having a vapor lock (not enough coffee) and want to make sure of
what I am doing will work before I do something dumb. Here is my
issue;

1. I have created a folder I will call team folder and created a group
in AD called team1.
2. I have added the team1 group to the folder with modify permissions
and the team members can read and write to the folder.
3. I want to restrict access to everyone but team1. If I remove the
everyone group will that work or will it completely block access even
to team1?

I should know this!
