Run the command net localgroup administrators to verify that is shows the
accounts you expect to be included. If they are then try running rsop.msc to
see if it shows any Group Policy settings that may be causing the
restriction. --- Steve

My problem is this. I was in the process of switching a user over to our
activity domain but noticed he did not have admin rights so I logged on as
the local administrator account. The local administrator does not have
administrator either, even though the both the user and local admin
account
are in the administrators group. I decided to add myself from using the
local admin and was able to give admin rights as well but I still did not
have full admin rights. When I right-click on my computer, choose
properties
and go to the network id tab the network Id button is grayed out and so
are
some other items. Do you think this a virus or is there a setting in
group
policies that needs to be turned off.
