The computer is networked with mine. I can still see his computer, folder and files and I can access them without a problem. Problem being, we can not log back on to his computer with his username and password. Is there a file on his computer that has the username and password? If so what is the name and what program do I need to read it? Is there a way for me to get in the computer and change the username and password? Or, what do I need to do here?
Thank You
Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s) and use Start > Run
> "control userpasswords2" to modify the desired account(s). By
design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

If you are using the EFS (Encrypted File System) for any encrypting
of files, be aware that unless you are very careful, changing the
user passwords by the admin will break the key for efs for
the user you changed the password for. If you are NOT using
efs, then you should be OK.
