An odd occurance - anyone have a solution?

I was setting up the desktop for some machines in a lab for
one of our university departments according to what they
has specified. Everything was working fine and I was ready
to "ghost" it out to all of the machines until I tried to set the
final settings for the "Start" menu.

One of the items that they had requested was that "small"
icons be displayed on the "Quick Start" area of the Start
menu. I knew how to do it and went to the place where
the option could be set. The problem was that clicking
on the option did nothing. The icons remained large no
matter what I did. The frustrating thing is I have another
machine that is set up just the way the want it and the
icons are small - just as requested.

Any suggestions on what I might have missed or what
I might do (or go) to "fix" the problem?

David
