pci.sys is not usually an indication of a damaged registry. This link might
help http://www.jsifaq.com/SUBK/tip5400/rh5410.htm
It might also be wise to run chkdsk in case a hard drive problem caused the
file corruption.

This morning when I went to start my computer, I received the error
message,
"missing or corrupt file", System 32\DRIVERS\pci.sys. How do I go about
reinstalling this file short of wiping the hard drive?
