Re: I lose access to workgroup shared folders after restart

I have 2 PCs A & B (both with XP Pro/SP2 and all latest fixes) which are on the same workgroup via a wireless link. Certain folders are shareable through properties/sharing/share this folder on network, and then naming the folder. I have run XP network setup wizard on A&B, then restarted both computers. All IDs have admin priviledges. Printer sharing works fine.

From A everything works as intended. I can see and read all the contents of the shared folders on B, and I can print on B's printer. From A I can view "workgroup computers" and see both A & B, and A's "My network places" correctly shows all shared folders on A & B.

After restarting A & B, a view of "workgroup computers" on B shows B only, but not A. In B's "my network places", I can see icons for A's shared folders, but I can't see inside them or read their contents. I get error message: "A/'folder name' is not accessible. You might not have permissions. Contact administrator. Network path not found."

If I now rerun XP network setup wizard on A & B, I will regain access from B to A, and I'll retain access from A to B, but the next time I restart B, I again lose access from B to A, though I always retain access from A to B.

Any ideas??
