Instead of using Explorer try using search and select the advanced option to
search hidden and system folders also. If you find it submit it to
virustotal.com at http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html per their
instructions. You could also use Process Explorer from SysInternals to find
the process, the path to the associated executable, and possibly publisher
name that may help identify it. I have never seen malware have a publisher
name associated with it. Autoruns from SysInternals can tell you what part
of the operating system it is launching from and allow you to attempt to
disable it from starting a computer startup/user logon.. --- Steve

i have this memory hogging verdsid.exe file running in my Task Manager
under
processes. i can't locate it on the computer using microsoft explorer,
even
when i look for hidden files. i tried several different search engines

can't find a thing about it. i've run a virus/spyware/adware scan and it
found nothing as well (and it is up to date with the latest updates). any
suggestions on what it is or how to get rid of it? ANY help is
