Windows Memory Diagnostic will keep running until you shut it
down. Take a look here for more info:

Thanks for telling me how to do it. I'd actually found the
answer somewhere else on the www. Only problem I'm running
into is that when running Windows Memory Diagnostic, it does
many passes, so I don't know if it's caught up in a loop or
it's supposed to do that. Any answers? Although I don't
think this is the problem, I'm going to disable my firewall
to see if it makes a difference. I just remember trying to
some other things, the firewall was the problem. I'm going
to let it run tonight when I get ready to go to bed and see

Restart your computer. As soon as you see anything displayed
on
the monitor, start hitting the DEL key. Keep hitting the DEL
key until you see the System Setup Program displayed.
