DEP in XP SP2

Hello,
Is it normal that Data Execution Prevention (DEP) prevents user to print a
test page from local printer properties? I just noticed that DEP kills
Explorer.exe when trying to print test page to local printer. Network
printers work as usual. Since I don't consider this behaviour very dangerous
can this be fixed somehow? Like newer printer drivers etc?
Thanks
