MBSA does not download and install patches.
Open cmd and then cd to install directory of MBSA and run
mbsacli /?

All MS security updates are installed manually only on my system.
Other users are reporting always a lot of problems with Windows Update,
so I do not use it at all since the beginning.
MBSA 2.0 installed. Only the OS is from MS.
No other MS software is present.
I want to use MSBA for analyse purposes only.
I don't wish it is downloading or installing any software components.
I am interested in the reports it can create only.
What requirements have to be met on the system the MBSA can do this task ?
I mean such topics how
- required firewall rules
- required services to run
- other settings to be required.
Here one detail yet on my system:
IE is not allowed to be active on the system at all.
An alternative web browser is installed and ebabled only
for any purposes.
