I am with you brother! I am beginning to question the malware proposal. I
went out and installed Panda Titanium. I now have Pandas firewall. I have
ran the full cadre of scans on the system with this product and have had no
luck. I guess if worse comes to worst, I do have a personal firewall if a
pay for it.

Let me ask you. Did the computer that you were trying to upgrade come with
SP1 and you are trying to upgrade to SP2? Is this computer a DELL?

The reason that I ask is that I ran into something similar with a DELL
laptop. The only difference is that I was able to get it to work by
performing a repair using a Windows install CD that included SP2. I tried
that here and it did not work.
