have never experienced that and hopefully someone else has an explicit
solution but in the mean time I would use Event Viewer to look at the
application/system logs to see if any error/warning event is recorded at
logon that may help pinpoint the problem. I would also check the folder
permissions to the documents and settings folder to make sure administrators
and system have full control and that users have read/list/execute
permissions and by default the user should have full control over his
profile folder under documents and settings when the profile folders are
created. If you are not sure how to check and manage permissions see the
link below and pay special attention to your version of XP and logon as a
user that is administrator to do such. In XP Home you may need to boot into
Safe Mode to logon as administrator. If the problem is fairly recent you
could try using System Restore to restore your operating system to a point
before this all happened. --- Steve

Hi. Everytime I log into windows, a new profile is created for me. There

only one user on this machine (me) and i'm not on a domain. I just log on
as
myself....no one else.

I have about 10 profiles and this is quite annoying. Everytime I log in I
have to set everything up again.

Could someone tell me if there is a fix for this sort of problem?!?
