Re: Accidental deletion of Admin account.

It sounds like you are able to logon as some account by your description. If
that is the case what does the command net localgroup administrators show??
Below is an example of the results of such a command. Possibly your
administrator account name had been changed and if you try to logon with the
account or accounts shown you should be able to access the computer as
administrator. Like I said the default built in administrator account can not
be deleted barring corruption of the sam file I suppose . If you identify the
administrator account but can not remember the password for it see the link
below on how to proceed. At the very worst you should be able to do a clean
install of the operating system within the install disk to get your computer
working again or possibly copy the sam file from \windows\repair to
\windows\system32\config while not in the current operating system via parallel
install/boot to Bart's PE, etc from cdrom/place hard drive in another computer
install but if you are unsure of how to do that without saving your data you
should take your computer to someone that does or ask for explicit instructions
if you get to that point. --- Steve

Ok. To put it like this. I was a knuckle head. I went into my computer.
Went into C: drive. My orignal plan was to get rid of other accounts
since there were 5 on there. I got careless. I highlighted all the
accounts and pressed delete. Ever since then i cant get admin
privliages. I talked to dell and microsoft. Both pointed me to a brick
wall. I cant do anything that requires admin abilities cause i cant
access them. I cant get any updates nor new software for this tower. I
tried what everyone told me so far and nothing had helped. Safe mode.
didnt help either. Im running out of choices. Im about to just junk it.
I really really really dont want to. I cant say that enough. So please
help me.
