Re: Can't set permissioin for shared folder under NTFS

There is one shared folder in my network which i need restricted
access. However, when I go to properties of the shared folder, I can
only see General, Sharing, and Customize, and the Security tag isn't
there. (Administrator Account)

So is there some setting I need to change in order to see this tag?

In order to see the Security tab:

a. The drive must be NTFS
b. In Folder Options - View, uncheck 'Use Simple File Sharing'. That is
the level used in Home, and for some strange reason is on by default in
Pro, too.

Other than that, since you didn't tell us anything about your computer I
can't be more specific. If you want more help, please post back with
more details about your system, the version/service pack level, and any
network information that is pertinent (domain, home pc, etc.).
