My children use my computer but there are some programs that I would not like my children to run is there a way that I can stop them from running certain programs by using different usernames and passwords. So when I logon I have access to everything and when my children want on under a different username and password I can prohibit them from using a certain program. Or is there some built-in parent control allow me to just prohibit a certain program from being activated without a passport thank you for any help

For some requirements, you may find it easier to invest in a 3rd-party solution, such as NetNanny or CyberPatrol.

You need to be aware, however, that *NO* technical or software solution is fool-proof, and _none_ can ever adequately take the place of live adult supervision. If you cannot trust your children to safely/properly use the computer without supervision, you may have to consider limiting their access to it.
