There are other antivirus programs that are not so bloated. I use Eset's NOD32, which uses very few resources and is fast ... also very good. You might also look into Kaspersky. Panda is another bloated av app, unfortunately. Once upon a time, it was fast.

OneCare Beta is a program whose time has not yet arrived.
than norton does. 15 seconds with onecare. over a minute with norton. onecare
makes that one thing GREAT to me. i'm going to stick with onecare.

I need a little advise:
I just loaded the Microsoft OneCare Beta (free right now). The download
required me to uninstall Norton in order to load OneCare. For the last
several days, I've let OneCare take care of the computer. I don't know if I'm
supposed to reload Norton or not. A friend said that she doesn't think
OneCare is doing everything to protect us from everything. I disagree
(Ithink)!
What would you do?
