I had the same problem after getting affected with a virus
Antivir calles it " Exploit EXP/MS05-013"
I got affected by visiting a website that contained this virus,
just opening the webpage without dl'ing anything got me affected.
So i formatted my drive, when i was reinstalling winxp home my screen
resolution also resized to 2/3 of the normal size. Now i have it set to
maximum size but i lost a few millimeters...
