Re: Cannot Log In To Secure sites

Another thing you can try is:
Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll
Press Enter or click OK

After you upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) in Microsoft Windows XP SP2, some SSL-secured (128-Bit) Web pages and Web sites may not work correctly. Frequently, this behavior is caused by security changes in Windows XP SP2.

I suddenly am unable to log into any secure site (i.e., bank accounts, portfolios, medical records, hotmail). When I enter my userid and password, the page appears to load and then stalls.
This is what I've done so far:

Verified the problem is unique to my PC. I can access my accounts from another PC.
Deleted cache (cookies and Temp files).
Ran MS Antispyware, Adaware, Ewido and McAfee ( 2 minor problems were detected and fixed).
In Internet Properites>Security,
verified security level was medium,
Advanced verified there is a check before Publisher's Certification Revocation, Use SSL2.0 and SSL 3.0.
Programs> used the Reset Web settings.
Temporarily disabled Firewalls (although I've had no prior problems)
Restored my PC to a date prior to the problem.
Checked for any MS updates and my PC is current.
I made no software changes and added no programs prior to this problem.

I have no problem accessing any website; I just cannot log in to accounts. I tried re-installing IE6 in case it was corrupted but I receive a message that it's already installed.

Please help!
