Hi Stephen,
It doesn't matter if the software is not free. I have tried psexe and, of course, I know computer management with mmc, but all these solutions are not what I am looking for. Perfect would be a graphical login the other machine.
Thanks anyway. Frank

If the Workstations were XP Pro Remote Assistance might be able to do much of what you want. With what you have now you can connect the other computer from your computer using Computer Management/action - connect to another computer to check a lot of things. There is a also a free tool from SysInternals called psexec that allows you to access the command prompt of a remote computer assuming you are an administrator on the remote computer. There may be other Remote Control programs that may be able to do what you want but offhand I am not familiar with one though the non free versions probably have more capabilities. --- Steve

Hi,
we hav the following network : Server Win2K Server WS : Win2K Admin :WinXP Sp2 Server and all WS have all updates installed
We have very strict GPOs working All runs smoothly.
Just from time to time it would be helpful for me to logon to another ws in the background to change or check settings.
If I use vnc or pcanywhere, the user must stop his work, I must logon, perform the changes etc. and logoff again.
Is there a software, that would allow me to logon in the background as a second user on the workstation with the user continuing this work in the foreground ?
Any hints would be appreciated.
Best regards
Frank
