Why are you bothering with e-mail if activation ends in one day? Pickup the telephone and CALL the shop that repaired your computer to get the product key.

So where have you checked so far looking for a product key? Have you looked under the laptop or on the backside of a desktop computer for a sticker with the product key on it?

If the shop gave you a retail version (full or upgrade) and did not provide the installation CD then they did not legally comply with the sale of Windows in giving you ALL of it. If it is an OEM version then that shop gets stuck with being the OEM with whom you need to get the product key. Microsoft is not responsible for supporting OEM versions (since you didn't pay the higher price to include support from Microsoft).

If it was a retail version, and you have proof of purchase, use the Contact Us link at the bottom of Microsoft's web site to get to the contacts for replacing lost or defective installation media. If you cannot get the shop to give you a product key, they committed fraud so call the cops (or your State Attorney's Office). If they went out of business, you no longer have an OEM from which to obtain support.
