Microsoft has updated their security bulletin to indicate enabling DEP
software/applications will *not* prevent the WMF exploit.

|I am suddenly interested in enabling Software DEP for all my applications,
| especially in light of the news that it can stop exploits like the new WMF
| vulnerability.
|
| The question I have not seen addressed anywhere concerns the performance
of
| applications once DEP is enabled. Theoretically, will all applications
| under DEP suffer a performance hit? If so, how much? If there is a
| performance hit, is it significant enough to affect CPU intensive
| applications such as video capture/playback, games, etc?
|
| Grateful for any info.
