VMNetSrv.sys - what is it, why does it receive connections from msn.com ?

Hello,

What's the purpose of VMNetSrv.sys process ?
Any ideas as to why would it be receiving connections directly from msn.com
through a several NAT/firewalls sitting between me and the internet ?
