Steve,
The article you referred to above describes how to use the ICS to
enable and disable the internet connection but it does not describe how
to remove the ICS feature.
I have played around with this and when I hit the "disable" button on
the gateway, it causes the router to release it's IP address and
effectively cuts off the internet connection. Similarly, "enable"
causes the router to renew it's IP address and everything works again.
The bad computer is configured for DHCP and that works. I've done it
manually using the ipconfig command.
No other computer on my system should be using the bad computer as a
gateway. If it's set up that way, that may be my problem but I still
don't know how to remove the gateway.
