Be sure..

Download and install the stand-alone installer..

You may want to download this as well..
http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/shockwave.html

See if installing them in this fashion fixes your problem. If not and it
only does it when you are connecting to Yahoo sites - then it seems you have
narrowed the issue and need to ask the technical support for the sites
giving you the particular issue.
