    I believe you mean your firewall detected the port scans. Software firewalls
    are often bundled with anti virus programs these days. My advice is just
    ignore it and be glad your firewall is doing its job. Your ISP may also be
    doing this to check four quality of service, etc. You are not alone in
    seeing this and it should be considered normal. At one time when worm
    activity was high I was seeing thousands of attempts to access my network
    every hour in the firewall logs. If you believe that someone is launching a
    denial of service attack directly against you contact your ISP. Such an
    event would show hundreds if not thousands of events in your log every
    minute from the same source IP. --- Steve
