        I've occasionally encountered the rare, poorly written application that
won't install unless one is actually logged in using the built0in
Administrator account. The installation routine stalls if the username
isn't what it expects, regardless of the account's privileges. I've
even seen such applications fail if the built-in Administrator account
has been renamed.

        Try logging into the built-in Administrator account and then installing
the application.
