If the Windows Firewall [or any other host/software firewall] is enabled on
your computers they will not allow access from the other computer unless you
enable the exception for file and print sharing. If that is the problem be
sure to configure the exception to be only for your network. Also verify
that you can ping each computer from the other [ping computername or ping
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] by both name and IP address to see if basic network
connectivity works or not . You can find the current IP address of a
computer by running the command ipconfig /all. --- Steve
