In earlier versions of Windows NT, NT 4.0 and W2K,there is a registry key
that you can use to disable automatic machine account password changes
within a
domain.(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;154501) The
trick is to change the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters\Dis
ableChangePassword value to 1
I notice this key is in Windows XP's registry, but does the trick still work
for Windows XP?
Thank you in advance.
