administrative login problem

Hello, my family's computer was set up by my stepfather and he
apparently changed the administrative username/password from the
original default. He and my mother have since divorced and i am just
now running into this problem because i am trying to open my router
ports so as to get some better results out of the bittorrent i recently
downloaded. We have XP and my account is the only administrative account
but unfortunately this username and password do not work for this
situation. I guess its a seperate kind of administrative power. Anyway,
i have no idea what the username or password is, which i need to forward
my router ports. so my question is, is there any way to find this out,
so i dont have to reformat the entire hard drive and reinstall
everything? I'm not trying to hack anyones computer or anything like
that, I simply want to download torrents faster and this is completely
stopping me from doing that. Thanks!
