kari; I have enclosed an image so you can find visually where to change the
owner for the installed programs.
The user name shown in Outlook Express is subject to the default mail
account, the previous owner's mail account must still be in the program,
either change the data or delete it and add your own mail account in
Tool\Account\double clic on the mail account and change details or select it
and delete it, then go to add new\mail account, and follow the wizzard's
instructions.
As to Internet Explorer your name should appear after you have created your
own Internet Account...
your may have to create a new connection with your personal details. To
do this go to Start\Run\type; inetwiz and hit enter and follow the wizzard's
instructions. If you do not have the built in administrator password, try
to logon leaving the passwords space blank... if the administrator account
does not appear at the logon screen, press ctrl+alt+del simultaneously
twice firmly and quick. If the administrator account needs a password,
obviously you need to get it from the previous owner.
Hope this helps.
