Charly: There's a more convenient option, in "Safe mode with networking"
you can download and install all the antispyware programs, antivirus
updates, and anything you may need to cleanup your system.... With out a
doubt your computer is full of spyware junk that's causing the extremely
slow boot up. It's important to do all this in safe mode to have a normal
running speed plus to get rid of dificult spywares.
To clean it, first start by deleting all the cookies and Temoprary Internet
files... this may take a while or your computer may lock up if you try to
delete them all at once, so be patient and take your time... go to the
Temporary Internet folder in Internet Options\General\Configuration\See
files\ and delete the temp files by then or twenty groups... there may be as
many as thousands of temp files so take your time. Also delete the cookies
from the InternetOptions\General\Delete cookies button. When you are done,
run the updated antispyware programs and get rid of the heavy crapp. If you
install the following programs, update them and run them all, you will
notice a dramatic change in the way your computer runs. Of course if you
prefer to format the HD you'll get a more satisfactory result, but you will
be loosing some files, applications and settings in the process... If you do
decide to format, I suggest you install the antispyware programs anyway to
avoid future problems like the one you're having.
