How does the WINDOWS XP stores the password
Date: Sun, 24 Apr 2005 15:39:04 -0700
Hi,
I want to know how does the windows XP stores the passwords for the user
accounts.
Just like Unix, solaris stores them in etc/passwd and etc/shadow files
encrypted in MD5 hashed format.
Windows NT handles it by SAM.
Can I know some information regarding WINDOWS XP password management as
mentioned above for others.
Thank You.
Abhijit
