Restoring XP

I'm new to the community, and I have no clue on how to restore my Laptop.

One day I couldn't get to any web page, just got a security warningasking if
I wanted to download the site. I can log on to MSN. I can get my e-mails, but
not read them. When I enter the Start menue, I canät get into All Programs -
nothing happens.

I think I need to restore, but I don't know how, since I don't know that
much about computers.
